If he fails, he'll be prone when he makes his burst attack.Īssuming he succeeds at standing up, he'll use a Simple Action. With his 8 damage, he'll have -2 wound modifier on this test, so he's down to 5 dice. The test says Body + Willpower (2), I assume that means he needs 2 hits to succeed. Since he's knocked down, he stands up with a Simple Action, and since he's wounded, this may fail. He's panicked, so he's going to go all-out with the best burst he can. Scenario 2> The security guard fires back at our samurai with his Colt Cobra TZ-120 SMG. He's also knocked down because his Physical limit is 5. If he gets 4 success, the damage is now 8, and the guard loses 8 boxes of his Physical condition monitor. He now rolls 9 Armor + Body (again, annoyed that the pre-gen sheets don't list the +Body). He has 12 armor (-3) so its 12 DV compared to 9 modified AV, so the damage remains Physical. She adds that to her katanas P8v-3 damage, so she's looking at 12 Physical damage. He rolls 3 success.ĭoes she have 4 Net Hits, or 5? (Does the 7 accuracy limit her to 7 before or after his Defense roll?) Lets proceed assuming its 4. There's nothing but Armor listed on his stat block, which we found very annoying, but it appears 'free' defense should be Reaction + Intuition, so he gets 7 Dice for defense. He's supposed to roll against this with his defense. She rolls 16 dice and gets 8 Hits, but the Katana's accuracy is 7. I'm using the pre-made Professional Rating 2: Corporate Security from PG 382. Scenario 1> Our katana-wielding street samurai attacks a security guard. I shelled out for the HeroLabs license so our character sheets are validated by that system. I was asked to GM but another player thought he knew the rules and would teach me, but there's immediately a lot of things confusing us. "Watch your back, shoot straight, conserve ammo, and never, ever, cut a deal with a dragon."
Living Community (Where you can play online) Subreddits For that please check out /r/ShadowrunReturns for help. Sadly our nova hot community isn't the best place to discuss the mechanics discussion or troubleshooting the video games. Mostly the pen and paper role playing game, but also the deck building card game, video games, and literature of Shadowrun. Discussion is primarily aimed at exploring narratives found in the Sixth World. Here at /r/Shadowrun we talk shop about all things in the shadows.
